Protable Digital Music…Printers?!

Typos crack me up. I enjoy the stupidity of others. Schadenfreude is my middle name. One typo is great, but a typo along with other haberdashery really warms the cockles of my heart.

Case in point:

PROTABLE DIGITAL MUSIC….printers….hehheheh ahhhh yessssssss

Attack Of The Primetime Sci-Fi Shows

The three big-time networks are each hosting some pretty crazy Sci-Fi series this season. Being the Sci-Fi buff that I am, I am fully qualified to give expert opinions on each of these series. Let me primer this with the fact that all three of these series are broadcast in High Definition and appear to have some serious budget behind them, based on the realism of the sets and special effects.

Invasion (ABC, Wednesdays @ 10pm) - Great series, premise of the show is that aliens are colonizing a small Florida town as the first step in TAKING OVER THE WORLD! Lights that appeared in the water after a hurricane seem to be doing something to the townspeople. The storyline is very creative and the show gets geek points for having the official show website point to a “blog” that is run by the show’s crazy alien conspiracy character!

Surface (NBC, Mondays @ 8pm) - A nice attempt at a “sea monster” suspense thriller, but I get pretty bored about 15 minutes into the show and end up flipping to something else. I haven’t even bothered to watch the last few episodes. How some critics are comparing to a Spielberg thriller is beyond me.

Threshold (CBS, Fridays @ 9pm) - Definitely the best new Sci-Fi series on primetime, the premise of Threshold is that aliens are attempting to bio-form humans and terraform the earth in preparation for a global takeover! Fractal patterns abound, and DNA-bending sound waves appeal to the inner nerd in all of us. Crazy alien-infected dudes running around with exploding heads is a vital ingredient to cooking up good Sci-Fi, and Threshold has plenty of it! CBS gets super mega bonus points for making commercial-free FULL episodes available on the CBS website, so you can go check out an episode right now if you please.
