Thunderbird Spell Check Fun
I was writing an email to some pals and did a quick spellcheck. Somehow, Thunderbird suggests the correction “boneheads” for the word “hehhehe”. Excellent!
Microsoft Vista Feature: Version Confusion
According to Paul Thurrott from Windows IT Pro, the new version of Windows, “Vista”, will have SEVEN different versions to choose from: Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate. Most people don’t even know the differences between XP Home and XP Professional already, and now Microsoft plans to add five more versions! Obviously, this is all a ploy to extract more money from customers purchasing Vista, but it’s going to be real confusing to people who want to upgrade. I can already see a crowd of befuddled looking people sitting in front of a retail display, scratching their heads, wondering which of the seven boxes they should buy to upgrade their XP installation.
This is a classic example of technology that sucks. Maybe Microsoft will be somewhat smart about it and just release a single Vista upgrade disc that will give you similar features in Vista compared to whatever version of Windows is being upgraded.
UPDATE: They must have read my post and realized how stupid they were..YUP!: Vista Leak
